I have recently become obsessed with everything that borrows elements of armour. That is how I came across these bewildering leggings designs by Stolen Girlfriends Club, LaQuan Smith and James Lillis.

Bergdorf Goodman Restaurant & the French Hooded Chair
I was very happy to discover that I found the name of the chair I would like to use in my current project. So many designers have used it in their interiors and I just could not find the very name! I am not sure what draws me so much to this piece of furniture but I find it amazing how applying very different materials to it changes the whole feel and appearance. I would probably go for some pastel silk velvet or leather..These are images of the Bergdorf Goodman Restaurant in New York I have posted an image of previously as part of the de Gournay projects.

João Figueiredo: 'Don't tell me the truth.'
As you might have noticed from my post about Barnaby Barford's porcelain figurine creations I find it very interesting when artists and designers alike re imagine and give new meanings to objects, paintings are eyes are so used to perceiving. Here is the work of João Figueiredo; biographical paintings that tell a part of a life of the portrayed personalities. The artist searches the pages of History books for the stories and legends that go beyond History. His art is a process of deconstruction and construction of classical images.

'Hansel&Gretel' by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue US
As I was planning to name the candy store I will design for the Bilderberg project, Hansel&Gretel, I discovered this beautiful photoshoot by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue. Named Little Boy & Girl Lost the photoshoot features Lady Gaga as the bad witch:) I must admit there is certainly something Tim Burton about it but perhaps less dark and more magical.

Royal Copenhagen - Christel Zodiac Figurines
As I was doing a research on various porcelain companies yesterday to see how they present various designs as an inspiration for the de Gournay website on porcelain, I came across some beautiful things. I love these zodiac figurines by Royal Coppenhagen. Unfortunately, Aquarius, my sign is not very exciting. I wish they made it in a from of a Lladro style mermaid (see image above.
In order: Capricorn, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Saggitar.. and of-course my Lladro Mermaid Aquarius.
