Hotel Beethoven, Vienna
de Gournay worked with Barbara Ludwig who is the General Manger of Hotel Beethoven which is located in the centre of Vienna. This hotel is an elegant, 5-floor building, which was built in 1902 in a Neo-Renaissance style. It is opposite the Theater an der Wien's famous Papageno Gate. We selected our Scarlet Lady damask, Bleach Silver slub silk, Pitch damask and Deep Rich Gold gilded paper to decorate bathrooms, corridors and bedrooms throughout the hotel.

Bompass and Parr: Ouija Board tea towels
The cult food architects Bompas & Parr, famed for their spectacular culinary adventures, have had a life-long enthrallment with all things occult; for the recent exhibition at the Arts Gallery - Heavens to Murgatroyd! - they're aiming to revive the ultimate 19th century parlour game, the Ouija board.
They have designed the limited edition Ouija board tea towel to "unite the domesticity of the humble tea towel with the supernatural functionality of a spirit key board, making the ability to communicate with the undead available to every home".

Kranen/Gille light bulb for Lux Craft
'The creative duo's work applies various craft processes and disciplines such as wood, marble, fabric and glass. Their work for Lux Craft will consist of a light bulb cast in plaster, which starts its life when cracked open. The underlying concept is that the light bulb and fixture are inextricably linked as they are one entity, and not replaceable.' (text & images Lux Craft)

Plaza Hotel New York: Giorgetti Penthouse: de Gournay Willow design
My colleague Juliet worked on this amazing Plaza Hotel project & Gwendolyn went to the opening party during her sales trip to New York.
This is the de Gournay Willow design on a Tarnished Silver gilded paper ground. I am currently working on a hotel project where we are custom colouring this design in burgundy & mushroom colours with a hint of golden pearlescent paint. Very excited to see how the samples will turn out!!
