Tamlin and the Fall: Luxury handbags.

If you would ask anyone with passion for art, fashion or design: If they could have any bag in the world, which one would it be? I am quite sure many would hesitate and then mention a couple of most known designer names and their limited editions. I would name one, and it would be any by Tamlin and the Fall. I think the images speak for themselves. These pieces are far from being an item you would by to match the fickle seasonal trends. This is a piece of art to invest into for a lifetime. If there is any handbag I would die for, this one would be definitely worth it. Gold, aligator skin and feathers, is there anything else one could wish for? To hell with wedding rings, this is the real symbol of love.:)

The Great Illusion Lara Stone by Paolo Roversi

VenkaVision showed me this beautiful editorial she found on a blog. It is amazing how the photograph created a story using shadows. It reminds me of an exhibition I saw about a year ago in abandoned arches around Waterloo where one of the works was an enchanted forest made out of white card, lit from various angles. There were only trees and millions of paper insects all over the walls, but with the shadows cast all around you it seemed like you were in an eerie wonderland with no way out.

This is one of my favorite magazine's editorial by photographer Enrique Badulescu. I love the use of colour, shadow and the female form.

'Privacy without Pretentiousness', nothing could describe better this magical place in the heart of London where James Wyatt, Robert Adam meet Zaha Hadid and Candy & Candy. There are three consecutive Georgian town houses with a myriad of rooms, amazing decor and history.

Boca Do Lobo: between art and design

I have just been suggested to take a look at these very impressive furniture pieces by a Portuguese company Boca Do Lobo.  I think its amazing to see design merge with art, although I truly believe that good design is art by all means. Could be the reason why I dislike so much minimalism as I believe it has absolutly no thought process to it. White cubes and 'pure' lines can be good, but only if they are there to lead you to something poetic and beautiful as these pieces..
